"First, my life was like many others, but I left my father's home when I was fourteen years old. I had built my life layer by layer all by myself. I succeeded in making an upper-middle-class family without any help from anyone. I have had a lot of ups and downs. I have fought many obstacles and rivals during my life. So it would be interesting for young people to read my story. Perhaps it may be helpful for them, too. Second, my grandchildren were born in the United States. They do not have the opportunity, like my nieces and nephews in Iran, to go once in a while to the cemetery with their parents and learn about their ancestors or learn through the years about their uncles and aunts. In other words, my grandchildren do not have any source of learning who their ancestors were. I thought it would be a good idea for me to create a source of information for them to find out who their ancestors were. Third, during eighty years of my life, there have been a lot of changes in the lives of people in Iran, which is part of history. The generation that was born when there was electricity, automobiles, asphalt, and so on does not have any idea how life was when those things did not exist..."

Habibolah Khazeni was born and raised in Iran. He moved to the United States of America with his family and has been a resident of Reston, Virginia for the past twenty-three years. He graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in literature and accountancy; he is now enjoying his retirement years in Reston.
