Martin Chapel was just a normal guy with a normal life. He never really gave much thought to his future or where he was going. But on the fateful day when he met a strange man on a park bench, he had no idea that his life was about to change so completely that even he wouldn't recognize himself in the coming years. And even though his life had been on the right track for a long time, when disaster struck, Martin had to use his new skills and logical way of thinking to figure out a way to save his friends, his family and his country. And failure was not an option for him. But then again, it never is.
And, in the days that followed the fall, Martin is presented with a litany of questions that force him down a road of seeking to understand more. And he soon finds out that sometimes the path you choose isn't the path that you were meant to take, the people you love aren't the ones that need saving, the answers you seek aren't the answers you require, and sometimes the things you discover, aren't meant to be learned.
