Betrayed and chased from their room in the middle of the night, John and company find themselves dumped in the Norse version of the underworld—Hel.
They soon find themselves caught up in a war between giant spiders, dire wolves, ancient Viking spirits, and some sort of large, pig-like monsters even John has never encountered before.
Injured, lost, and with John unable to use his magic, he and his friends must find their way out of Hel and sort out what The Boss has planned before something darker ensnares them forever. With so much stacked against them, however, it quickly becomes clear that John and Co. have a choice to make: escape Hel with their lives, or potentially gain a new, powerful ally if they can survive...
