Did God create our Universe then orchestrate its evolution? Did Our Universe just so happen?
Our Universe is far too complex in an almost infinite number of ways to have happened by chance. It did not just happen and then evolve so that YOU can just so happen. Regardless of my bias, I do my best to balance the secular perspectives, scientific theories, along with the nonsecular - creationists viewpoints. I also include a third viewpoint - the sceptic who is leery of what they might consider overly head strong know-it-all pronouncements that are propagated from the secular and religious camps. My goal is to remind or enlighten you on how fortunate you are to experience your life opportunity. Whether you consider yourself as secular, mostly secular, one that embraces a devout faith, or one that does not place his or herself in any camp, I WILL convince you that you are here against all odds. I'll also point out that you (and all the rest of us) take this opportunity for granted. We mostly value life too lightly. This work is intended to be a serious treatise on the subject of the nature of our evolving Universe and our being. This book encapsulates the science as we humans understand it today. You likely understand that the scientific community consists of both secular and nonsecular minded folks. As you make your way through this book, I will bring home to you that our advancements in our scientific understandings are impressive, but we really do not know much for certain. Hypotheses and theories abound and are frequently presented as fact but are more often than not evolving or destined to be replaced by a fresh set of hypothetical ideas. To make this book an easier and fun read, I also attempt to weave in a bit of humor.
