"Growing Pains" is Emily Rossi's debut poetry collection about the growing pains that accompany life and how doubt, mourning and joy can find themselves back to back on a page, or even sometimes in the very same sentence. Despite the constant battle within ourselves between thought and feeling, the outcome can be growth. Here it is, a map of my then and now a map every up and down and the pain that accompanies growth. Feelings are fragile, their every step risks a hole, risks a bruise. I handle them with care, with curiosity and compassion for where they came from and where they should go. I pray that I am able to love my feelings into purpose, and that these pages would act as a mirror, for you to do the same.
