Guns of Vengeance Valley finds Brent Sackett and those traveling with him arriving in Lordsburg, New Mexico just in time to witness a jail break and a deputy sheriff shot by the escaping desperado. When Brent has a run in with one of the most powerful ranchers in the territory trouble soon follows. Brent is unaware that the rancher is planning a take over of several of the small ranches and has brought in a number of hired guns to help in his effort.
Meanwhile, Brent's identical twin brother, Brian, is having his own problems back in Texas. Someone has been poisoning the waterholes on the Sackett spread and they have to find out who is doing it before they lose more cattle. Also, Earl Rule has followed Brian north with plans to kill him because Rule's youngest son forced Brian into a gun fight and was killed. Another action packed Western from Mason proves to be a good read for the fans of the Old West.
Other books in this series in sequential order are as follows: Across the Rio Grande, Three Days to Sundown, Ride the Hard Land, Range War, Five Faces West, Between Heaven and Hell, and this latest one, Guns of Vengeance Valley.
