The Gunsmith has acquired many investments over the year, which enable him to ride the trail freely without worrying about money, and his various "partners" deposit his share into a bank account, which he can access from anywhere in the country. However, one day he enters a bank is Westfield, Kansas, and is told that his account has one dollar in it. Clint must now embark on a trek from investment to investment to find out what happened to his holdings, along the way having to take off jobs to finance his investigation. If someone has stolen all his money, he is going to find out who, and why.
