Divorce is one of those great unknown cliffs over which self-proclaimed leapers contemplate jumping. It is the great darkness, the fogginess of insecurity, the ultimate icon of respectability that must not be broken. Then why do lots of people seem to be breaking it? Are they bad persons? I don't think so. This is not a book about how to divorce, but rather, once you have made that decision, how to regain a spiritual perspective in your continuing journey of life. Life is too short for you to waste it on hatred, jealousy, anger, lust, drinking, or envy towards anyone. When you are angry, and give in to your animal urges, such as vengeance, hatred, revenge on his family, you lose precious spiritual energy that you need to fulfill your destiny as a woman. When you look for answers to critical problems, such as divorce, you will find enlightenment and peace from your spiritual roots.
Treat these ideas as a series of meditations on various thoughts about divorce. Each page is a separate thought. It is called a vertical book because you can pick it up and put it down again without losing your place. The focus of the book is YOU, not your former husband, not your children, not even your family. In doing so, you will find rest for your spirit. I would like to share a lifetime of ideas with you. These gentle thoughts will allow you to put YOU first. It is more important you generate ideas as a result of thinking about some of these statements. God tells you that you, by yourself, are worth more than you can possibly imagine. Accept your destiny.
If marriage is not the purpose of life, then what is?
Discovering a relationship that leads you to fulfill your destiny--Heaven-- how to love with all your heart, all your mind and all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6)
