Hawke didn't have a problem with being alone; it was safer that way. The less people that he was responsible for, the more he felt he could do his job properly. He'd let Louise down when he hadn't been there to protect her fathers. And then once again when Louise was killed by Ettore. He wasn't about to make that mistake again. Hawke watched over Maggie and Louis constantly. They were never out of his sight for long. When Ettore escaped being arrested along with the other Morpheus leaders, it made Hawke even more vigilant. Now there was word that Ettore was planning a rebellion of his own. He was building an army of supernaturals, humans and demons. He wanted to destroy humanity, to finish what the fallen angel Abaddon started when he escaped prison all those years ago. Hawke wasn't going to allow that to happen. There is only one complication in his way. An omega named Jabari. Jabari had heard the rumors of the Onyx Rebels. A vigilante group set to bring down those that brought injustice against supernaturals. Jabari had his fair share of injustice at the hands of humans. First his parents jailed for false accusations, then his brother being taken and placed in the foster care system only to be killed. Finally Jabari having to clean up the broken bodies of the many alpha children made to fight in the illegal fights, that still occurred despite the AJE authority shutting down the leaders of Morpheus. Jabari wanted to make a change and joining the Onyx Rebels seemed like the optimal choice. But first he had to get Hawke to agree to his membership.
