David is a guy with nothing to lose and everything to hide. He sought solace in an isolated desert town, hoping to find peace from his dark and troubled past, but that all changes when his car crashes into a boy in the dead of night, and that boy is left standing unharmed.
Cryptids, supernatural creatures, myths, and legends, David has studied it all. He thought he knew everything there was to know about the paranormal.
He was wrong.
This mysterious boy comes along to challenge everything David thought he knew. Because the thing is, this boy isn't human. But the problem is, David doesn't know what he is. All he does know is this boy is chased by monsters, and he's in desperate need of an escape.
Together, they go on the run, accompanied by David's eager neighbor, Rose.
They quickly discover that there is no escape. No matter where they go, no matter how far they run, they are stalked by devastation and chaos. As the world begins to collapse around them, Rose starts to question whether or not they've made the right choice by helping this beast, but David is too caught up in the chase to abandon him now. Blinded by his determination to help this creature, David's already decided he'll go to Hell and back to save him.
