As the group of friends finally forge forward on a path to stopping Herobrine, Lakely and her friends encounter a new problem: a village up north that seemingly has no idea how to run themselves. In order to have good allies and friends that will actually be able to help them, Lakely and her friends decide to step in and help the town. They decide to show them how to farm, how to ranch, and for Lakely's sake, she decided to train the village's incompetent soilders to show them how to protect the village that they love and care for so much. Lakely and her friends also spend time thinking about their next steps, including the horrifying prospect of finally traveling to the Nether for resources. Not to mention, as relationships begin to blossom, Lakely finds herself unsure of her feelings for Tanner. He makes her happy, he makes her blush... could she be falling for him? She isn't sure. As she is figuring out her own feelings, Carter and Rose are also getting closer to one another, causing tension within the group. Despite all that, in their time of aid, Lakely learns that this village is not what it seems, and that it's harboring some deep secrets and nasty betrayal's.
The village is run by a head librarian, who seems to know everything there is to know about magic and more. When his supposed best friend becomes a zombie, Lakely becomes suspicious and confronts him. What they find is a massive, terrifying secret that could destroy not only the village, but Lakely and her friends as well.
