About the arrival in Greece of certain emigrants from foreign lands, there are legends which may be noticed here, although it must be remembered that they are stories rest ing upon no solid foundation. Such settlements are ascribed to a time previous to the dominion of the Hellenes. Four are chiefly mentioned.
