Holiness in 12 Steps shows how Celebrate Recovery(R) reinforces the Wesleyan quest for holiness. Prof Dave explains: - How recovery is a scriptural and experiential need- How recovery is discipleship - in 12 steps- How Celebrate Recovery(R) serves discipleship needs for Wesleyans as well as othersCelebrate Recovery(R) is a Christ-centered, 12-Step, life recovery ministry that supports people struggling with all sorts of hurts, habits and hang-ups.We are all broken people living in a broken world. There is healing for the wounded, support for those struggling with addiction and a clear path to victory one step at a time. Recovery is ideal for any who are stuck in spiritual stagnation and desperate for change. Celebrate Recovery is an effective means of discipleship for wounded Christians, sanctification from the inside out. David W Heughins, aka "Prof Dave," is a grateful believer in Jesus Christ, recovering from an addiction. He is ministry leader of a Celebrate Recovery(R) meeting at Manchester Church of the Nazarene in Manchester, CT. Raised in a hardscrabble Nazarene parsonage, he sought holiness for a lifetime while struggling alone with hurts, habits and hang-ups. Since 2009 he has found recovery through the grace of God and the 12 Steps. He is retired after serving at Canadian Nazarene College, Post University and Eastern Nazarene College. Currently he is an Adjunct Professor of Church History at Nazarene Bible College. He holds a BA from Eastern Nazarene College and a PhD from the University of Minnesota.
