Be enchanted by the Desert Rose, and learn how to successfully grow them in your garden. Our aim with this book is to provide as much relevant information as possible. We are not experts, and I'm sure that when the book is going to print, I will suddenly remember a very important tip that I forgot to include! We simply wish to share our passion for these wonderful plants with you and hope that they bring you, too, plenty of smiles.
The desert rose (Adenium) is a succulent plant from Africa and the Middle East. It grows naturally in desert-type country and once established can go long periods without water. Desert roses do however, prove to be excellent pot plants, providing flowers over many months through the warmer weather, and they flourish well outside their native homeland. They are also long-lived, with some specimens living over 100 years.
