This is intended to be a short and quick version of the Lectio Divina to help one to get through depression, or feel closer to God through prayer, meditation, and deep thought. I developed this for myself, to help me to be more consistent with my prayer time and focus my thought-life more on Jesus. Like Lectio Divina this is to be done in 4 parts: Lectio = Read, Meditatio = Meditate, Oratio = Pray, Contemplatio = Contemplate, You reread each part 2 to 3 times each before going to the next section: Each day should take no more than 3 to 5 minutes to complete. Whether you think you heard from God or not, go over the quote and scripture a final time and finish it off with an amen, then go about your day: Maybe you will hear from God through another person, maybe not. The whole exercise is to teach us to be completely in the moment but also to learn to move on with life
