As President Kennedy's convertible turned off Main Street at Dealy Plaza, Lee Harvey Oswald squeezed the trigger and fired the first shot. He knew he had only seconds to reload before the convertible would be out of range. Working the bolt quickly, he ejected the first shell, loading the next.
