In London Ciquane Seftan is challenged and surprised by an offer to track down a game changing medical device in Sydney, and return it to London with a million pound reward and royalties on it global sales and production. She has to not only find it, but avoid and compete with a ruthless crime gang, secretly employed by an international cartel who know it will ruin their lucrative global business, and are aided by a corrupt high court judge. She risks her life, as she tries to avoid the gang who tortured and killed her former partner Renato, the inventor of the device, and is afraid she may never return to England.
Ciquane involves her long time friend Lilliane who is nearing completion of a PhD in philosophy, Andrew a Southern Highlands farmer whom she meets en route to Australia, and Sebastian an aging and lonely former scientist who worked secretly with Renato, but is also looking for his long lost love from university days.
A celebrity ball, an exotic escort girl, and a federal politician are all part of the quest as she travels from London to Sydney and later over to Western Australia. But will it all end in wealth or romance for Ciquane, or something much worse.
