Reverend Adinhair Jones, a committed Jamaican, has given distinguished leadership in youth development for most of his life beginning in the young adult stage as President of his youth club and President of the youth movement in the church. He has made meaningful contribution to the Caribbean youth, having been a member of the international team which pioneered the Youth Across the Commonwealth Exchange; President of the National Youth Council, Church of God in Jamaica; the Jamaican Coordinator with Canada World Youth, a development agency with a presence in more than 60 countries. Reverend Jones served the Government of Jamaica as a Director of the National Youth Service and Director of Youth in the Social Development Commission between 1998 and 2000. During his tenure as Executive Director of the National Youth Service, this Statutory Body of the State experienced significant expansion resulting in the quadrupling of the number of participants enrolled. His leadership was also marked by the introduction of several initiatives targeting behavior modification in schools and social reconstruction through volunteerism. A significant thrust in public-private partnership marked his tenure and led a process of reaching more youth, particularly the vulnerable. A trained Theologian, Reverend Jones holds a Bachelor's degree from the Jamaica Theological Seminary and a Master's degree from Regent College, Vancouver, Canada. He has gained formal training in social policy and programme through the Inter- American Development Bank, Washington D.C. He serves as Chairman of the New Hope Foundation, Consultant to the Jamaica Theological Seminary, Technical Advisor to YUTE, a member of the Cinematograph Authority and has recently been appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Church of God in Jamaica. Pastor of the Olson Memorial Church, Reverend Jones is married to Pauline and together they have one son, Timothy.
