AS . The Army has made tremendous progress over the last ten years by utilizing lessons learned to improve the intelligence warfighting function. Intelligence enables mission command, and mission command facilitates initiative and allows commanders and staffs to execute tailored solutions for complex problems in a fast-paced environment. The synergistic relationship between intelligence and all of the warfighting functions ensures the Army remains the dominant land force in the world. As a warfighting function, intelligence is inherently joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational. Army intelligence leverages the larger intelligence enterprise, partnered with and supported by the U.S. intelligence community. Ready access to the intelligence enterprise via the network provides the Army situational understanding and enables decisionmaking.
