This documentary, made over a span of 11 years, focuses on New York pop artist Kenny Scharf's life and legacy. In interviews done in his current California home and studio, the artist discusses musings about his early work upon arriving in New York in the late '70s and how the emerging urban artists of the early '80s dominated the scene. The film features archival footage of his fellow artist friends and contemporaries, namely Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Andy Warhol. Co-directed by the artist's daughter, Malia Scharf, and collaborator Max Basch.
