Wie Vieles, sagt Lessing, „geht von der Vorstellung des Künstlers bis zur Ausführung durch die Hand des Künstlers verloren. Wie Vieles geht aber auch von dem Werke bis zum Sinneseindruck des Beschauers verloren. Ich bitte die Herren, die sich länger als ich dem praktischen Lehrberuf widmen, dazu beizutragen. Dass der geistige Wirkungsgrad dieses Lehrbuches in diesem Sinne gehoben werde.
