When I was a boy, my mother had this friend that loved Papayas. She had so many Papaya trees in her yard that we never could count them all. Thus was her nickname: Mrs. Papaya. My mother would take my sister and I to Mrs. Papaya's house on various occasions, and we'd eat Papayas. There were even times when we all would go to Mexico across the border to sample Papayas and other fruits like Coconuts and Mangos. These are actually some fond childhood memories portrayed in the book and parts of the story are made up. The names have been changed to protect the innocent, but there will be eight more volumes to add to this collection. I hope your children enjoy the book as well as yourselves.
