's debut album for is a tense mixture of various alternative styles that were popular in the late '90s. More than any other band, sounds a lot like . Now there are lots of bands who can lay claim to sounding like that band, but this could have easily been a lost album and no one would look twice. Vocalist can be a perfect clone for at times, although he also bears a striking resemblance to 's . Tracks like and are solid tracks that might be predictable, but retain their power and come across nicely. This is also a band that is not afraid to mess around with tempo, stopping songs in the middle and generally being very experimental with their general setup. But what they might fail to realize is that is perhaps the ultimate experimental band, and they make this sort of better than any other band in this era. has a lot of potential, but on this debut they stick too close to a formula that was concocted by a band that does it better. ~ Bradley Torreano
