The Lifelong Saga, Vol.1: The Politician and the Reluctant Olympian is the introductory love story of a series of tales about the life and love of James Daniel Williams and Mary Faith Taylor Williams. The Lifelong Saga traces the lives of James and Mary as they navigate life's ups and downs, heartaches and pains, joy and sorrows. Their commitment to faith sustains them throughout. James is a star athlete being recruited by some very notable college football programs, but he has long term goals of becoming a lawyer and politician. Mary is athletic as well, but is extremely reserved. Her goal is to prove to her mother that she can stand on her own despite growing up in poverty. The two meet at church during their sophomore year in high school. They initially became friends and that friendship naturally evolved into a romantic relationship. The couple eventually marry before high school graduation and set out to conquer their dreams.
