Philipp Melanchthon's Loci praecipui theologici, in the final edition of 1559, are his mature theological opus magnum, and together with Calvin's Institutio they are the most influential dogmatics of the reformation. This book represents the first translation of the text in a Latin-German edition. The philological work was done by Basel classical philologist Peter Litwan, assisted by classical philologist Florence Becher-Hausermann. The theolocial editorial was done by Sven Grosse, professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at Staatsunabhangige Theologische Hochschule Basel. The edition is planned in two volumes.
