Edgar Hoover, el detective Mc Kenzie es convocado por el famoso coleccionista Forrest Ackerman para encontrar Londres después de medianoche, una de las películas más buscadas en la historia del cine. Aunque la última copia desapareció en los años veinte, la leyenda asegura que trajo la desgracia a sus actores pues en ella actuaban vampiros reales, que los cines que la exhibieron se incendiaron, y que aquellos que la buscan desaparecen.
