James's doctor says he suffers from catoptrophobia, the irrational fear of reflective surfaces. But it's not irrational. James's fear is very, very real because he knows that she's real - the woman known as "Mad Maddy." When James cleans out his grandmother's house of old, cluttered stuff, he finds a photo of his Pop Pop, smiling and holding her in his arms. She's always been just beyond, but never did he think she was real. But there is some fact behind every fiction, and it's never what you expect.
