Magic Every Month: Fair Fun
By: Naela Hurst
Weee! Riding roller coasters, going in fun houses, and spinning on swings, the girls love the annual fair in their city. It's the month before school begins, Dawn's month, so they get their last few weeks of summer fun all in. With the sun and heat at its peak, they stay hydrated as much as possible. Things get more interesting when the girls discover the boys at the fair. Teasing, play fighting, and arguing always happen when the boys are around, but the mothers who volunteered to watch the children always keep them in line and having fun. The moms and children walk in two areas. The normal amusement park, and the added extra fair rides and attractions.
Once they feel they've ridden and gone on a lot of things, the smells of popcorn, fries, corn dogs, turkey legs, and more waft in their direction. Getting a pink or blue tongue is always a silly reward from eating suckers, drinking slushies, and eating cotton candy. Inside, after eating, the barn animals stay behind a fence or the handlers walk them around the convention center as the sun sets. Come experience the fair with the fairies and pixies you all know and love!
About the Author
Shall we do one more!? Naela Hurst remembers how fun going to the fair was for her and her sister when they were younger. It also meant the last hoorah of summer, with Labor Day being the last swim of the season before school started.
Hurst is the author of nine previous books, and she hopes to one day have a book tour. She has met many writers since she became an author. Some of whom are not published, others who are. She encourages them to reach that goal if that's what they're wanting. Hurst hopes as the Magic series further gains in popularity so she could have a calendar version of the characters. After all, they do represent the months of the year! Enjoy this fun and final end of a season and series.
