My name is Liam and I am an alcoholic. Hard words to say, it took me a long long time. This book is about my journey from a small Lanarkshire village to the many places that drink and drugs took me to, all over the UK and abroad. It has violence, crime court cases, fires, and much more. There's also some nice stuff though; kindness, love, charity, and some success. Approaching 13 years sober, I wanted to do this as a thank you to the people who supported me and never gave up on me getting sober. I wanted to also reach out to anyone still suffering with alcoholism or addiction, to give them hope that you can get your life and health back if you don't give up on finding the right people to help you. There are incidents here that are tragic, some that are comical and some unbelievable but the message is serious. It is the truth with a message of hope for anyone feeling hopeless. To let the ones feeling worthless know that they have worth, to encourage them to keep trying as it can get better. Don't give up!!
