Poor Senecharnix continues his evolution as a secret agent, while enduring the machinations of his ladies. Their ranks grow due to the intrigues of a conspiracy directed by the one lady that he wants and cannot have. Devastated by her rejection, he soon loses himself, while masquerading as a rakish prince, during a mission that proves entirely too perilous to his life and soul. His ladies end up needing to make a deal with some strange women that possess the knowledge and power to retrieve him from death's grip.
