Masters of The Wheat-Lands
: Gregory Hawrtrey has come to Manitoba from England, hoping to make it big farming grain. After three years, he seems sufficiently successful to go back to England with the aim of returning with his fiancée, Agatha Ismay. But then he breaks his leg, making traveling impossible. As luck would have it, another local farmer, Harry Wyland is leaving for a trip to England and agrees to bring Agatha and her friend back with him. He does, but Agatha discovers Hawtrey is a changed man from the one she fell in love with, causing her to question whether to marry him. The blossoming romance between Agatha and Harry is put on hold while Harry travels near Siberia to try to rescue friends who were left behind while hunting seals. Lots of questions to resolve before the story ends.
