The walks have been specially selected to provide walkers with a variation in landscape and vistas of some of the most excellent countryside in the U.K. The Iron Gorge is a particularly nice example of a reclaimed industrial site which has been transformed back to nature. It now provides a unique and beautiful wooded valley, this leaves the Gorge covered with a network of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes.
