Dr. Beekman has chaired 45+ doctoral committees with Capella University. Before higher education, Dr. Beekman's academic background includes administrative experience as an Assistant Superintendent for Academics on the Navajo Reservation, Assistant Principal for a Native American High School (Boarding School) in South Dakota and Principal for an Elementary/Junior High School in Indiana. His teaching experience includes teaching in the inner city, teaching Native American students from more than 40+ tribes. He taught grades K-12 as well.
