Detective Amy Harper stood in downtown Detroit at Hart Plaza, gazing across the half-mile wide river at the Canadian skyline. The call from the Police Chief confirmed that the FBI uncovered the existence of death threats to those members of her team, this was troubling. Harper had survived attempts on her life last year but feared that her team might not be that lucky this time around. The Bureau offered to help but the team didn't want extra protection, a foolish move. Because of recent International terrorists' actions, and Detroit being a border city, officials had increased police presence at all the bridges and crossings. The FBI along with other authorities were keeping drug traffic and potential terrorists from crossing into the U.S. Harper knew now that she'd have to share her cases with two federal agencies while trying to uncover who threatened her team. The city struggled with recent revelations of a drug Cartel operating out of Greektown and new developments now focused on smugglers bringing product from Canada. Unless her team captured those involved, there would never be any real Motor City Justice.
