Claire (Jane Fonda) and Evelyn (Lily Tomlin) used to be great friends but saw their relationship dwindle over the years. When they reconnect at a friend's funeral, they unite over a mutual hatred for the widower. When Claire mentions that she is going to kill him, she captures Evelyn's attention, and the duo begins to plot the unlikely murder.
