ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
This brilliantly constructed tale seduces in a special way insofar as it revives the ghostly world of the Montparnasse Dadaists and Surrealists of 1920. - Le monde
To the horror of the members of the Night Brigade, Pierre Le Noir's best friend and protector is killed with the same technique that Jack the Ripper used. When Scotland Yard confirms that the assassin is in France and that his next target will be Pierre Le Noir, the young agent must leave Paris while his colleagues handle the situation. While fleeing for his life and learning to master the powers given to him by his grandmother's inherited talisman, Le Noir experiences a series of increasingly bizarre fantasy episodes, taking him from a hospital where supernatural illnesses are cured to a meeting with Robert Desnos, the prophet of surrealism, and from there to a mysterious island in the south of France where the monster that inspired the Count of Monte -Christo could help him solve all his problems or end his life in seven bites.
