It began as a radio show in 1947 (the idea, some say, "borrowed" from a failed
pitch the year before), and spawned from there a TV show, books, films, and of
course comics (Atlas #3-48; 1950-1955). The tales of a ditzy but well-meaning
blonde and her assortment of slightly offbeat friends, MY FRIEND IRMA was one
of the most popular entertainment franchises of its time. The concept itself has
been "borrowed" many times since – in fact, shortly after ceasing publication of
MY FRIEND IRMA, Atlas magically came up with the idea for MY GIRL PEARL.
Amazing, isn't' it? Mostly written by Stan Lee and drawn by Dan DeCarlo, this is a
classic series you don't want to miss – and since they surprisingly forgot tor renew
the copyrights, you don't need to!
This volume collects issues #22 through 28. ALSO AVAILABLE IN HARDCOVER
AND FULL COLOR VERSIONS
