If you were to Google the word scandal, no doubt countless numbers of choices would come up in the search. Including movie stars, presidents, sports legends, other world leaders and even Bible heroes. Even the best selling book of all time the Bible, contains a few who are considered to be over the top. Murder, sex, denial, yes they are all in there. But even more scandalous than the acts themselves to some, is the forgiveness for the scandalous deeds. Everyone loves a good scandal! We act as if we don't want to pass judgement, so we have to be sure to hear all the details-especially the juicy ones, before we make up our minds. Society is addicted to scandals, we can never get enough of them. That's why they fill all the tabloid magazines and it's no accident that their placed right by every checkout aisle. Of course with the Internet, Twitter, Facebook and the like, a scandal can go viral and have millions of views, almost instantaneously. For a scandal to be passed around, the availability and accessibility of the internet, certainly is the equivalent of lightning fast! But if all else fails, there's always the old school method called gossip. We all know (or maybe we don't, anyway we should know) what the Bible says about the tongue and the use of it. Proverbs 18:21 NKJ Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. While curiosity! May have killed the cat. This hasn't even came close when used in comparison with humans and their quest for happiness. So many have sought happiness and some have died from the extreme avenues used to find it. And some have been exposed for the mistakes in their pursuit. But few and far between have ever truly found happiness. I think that's why our interest is so peaked when we hear of a scandal involving someone's pursuit of what they thought was happiness, and what they were really looking for. While many will argue with me about what I'm going to say next, I say keep looking. Maybe someday you will find what you think will make you happy and fulfill your life. I'm going to point you in the right direction and show you the source, but as the old saying goes, you can lead someone to the water fountain, but you can't make them drink! As for me, I already know the only way that anyone will ever fill the empty void in their life, is by having a relationship with God the father, through Jesus God's Amazing Son, introduced by and through the Holy Spirit. So you're saying, a relationship with God is the answer to all our wants, needs and desires?? Yes it is!I hate to say this, (and most definitely some would label this next statement as scandalous!) but religion is boring. I want you to know since I made my decision to walk with and have a relationship with Jesus that day, has been an amazing, exciting journey! The more I have pursued Him, the more He has Blessed and Rewarded my life, for the pursuit of Him! Am I bragging? Yes I am, not on my ability, however I would brag on God's abilities and what He can do for everyone all day long! Everything I have, I would be the first one to tell you, it's all God's doing. I'll tell you something else, if you'll pursue Him, He will do the same for you. So call God's Blessings and what He is willing to do, in a person's life what you will. To me it's so much more than scandalous, to me its nothing short of AMAZING! The point is, everything comes down to a choice you make every second of the day. And that is, whether or not to participate and pursue the relationship? You don't have to and no one is going to make you, but why wouldn't a person want everything that God was capable of giving them? When He's capable of giving them EVERYTHING! It's the most important choice anyone will ever make in their entire life! And to that, I have but one suggestion, "CHOOSE WISELY!" Because the choice you make will impact your life, not just in this lifetime, but for all of eternity!
