It is often believed that our past was a primitive one. That the world we inhabited was desolate and war like. This is not so. Mankind was experiencing a time of great innovation and technology. It was this technology that brought our destruction. The Possessors are an ancient race of demons torn from the void between worlds. It was soon discovered that in order to stop demons we must first create monsters. The Mountain of Gears was constructed and the final piece, the mind of the machine, was placed at its peak. The war between man and demon would rely solely on the device known simply as The Necrometry.
