Nitram, from director Justin Kurzel, is a dramatization of the life of Martin John Bryant (portrayed by Caleb Landry Jones), the mentally deficient man behind the Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania, Australia. Bryant is now serving 35 life sentences plus 1,652 years. Nitram has trouble fitting in regardless of how he tries. This changes when he takes on a job working for a reclusive woman with whom he becomes close friends. Unfortunately, she dies in a car crash, and Nitram spirals back downward into anger and loneliness. This eventually leads him to lash out at the people around him.
