The luxurious cruise ship Ocean Intrigue is sailing from Venice to Monte Carlo, stopping at other exciting European ports during their journey. The guests on board are enjoying their excursions along the way, meeting other interesting fellow passengers and being pampered, wined and dined on board. Suddenly a body is found at the bottom of the ship's swimming pool. It's that of Doctor Arnold Baker, attending a medical conference on healthy living and ageing being held on board. Was it his jealous wife Evelyn, an ambitious assistant Caroline or a charismatic celebrity lifestyle guru Doctor Frank? At the same time the young billionaire Mark Stephens, staying in the ship's Presidential Suite, is increasingly attracted to a tentative Alex Browning. She's a young and beautiful shipboard dancer who has a secret traumatic past. The cruise will be over soon and he resorts to desperate measures to keep her from leaving him. Will it work or drive Alex even further away? Meanwhile the ship's crew and especially the Chief of Security, Ilan BenLev are dealing with investigating the murder. He is ably assisted by one of the passengers on board, a retired New York City detective, Lou Calonari. All of a sudden, the Ocean Intrigue encounters an abandoned and derelict fishing boat, overloaded with starving refugees escaping their war-torn countries and desperate to reach Europe. What should Ilan and the Captain do? And if they approach Europe, will anyone let them land? Find out what happens in this page turner packed with fascinating characters, fast-paced adventures and romantic sightseeing along the way.
