A mutilated corpse. Eyes removed. And the words "CAN YOU SEE" written in blood. Chicago homicide detective Riley Walker is no stranger to death, but this case will push her to the physical and psychological limits.
Following her wrongful removal from the elite Violent Crimes Task Force, Riley is demoted to working cases on Chicago's South Side. It's a tough beat for any detective, but it quickly becomes worse when she is assigned a maverick partner who has little respect for the rules. Now she must learn to work together in order to solve the most difficult case of her career, or it could be her last.
At first, the crime scene appears to be the result of a gang feud, but when more bodies are discovered, Riley begins to suspect something far more sinister.
