Richard L. Collins was born in Casper, Wyoming, and was raised in Sunnyvale, California. He attended Fremont Union High School and San Jose State University. Thankfully, Richard was prodded by his father to learn a trade as a backup to make a living. Richard entered the electrical industry, where he worked enjoyably for 40 years. He started as an apprentice and worked up into management at a local contracting firm. His expertise centered on the management of people and searching out their secrets of personal production.
Retired now for 20 years, Richard has discovered that his lifelong love of reading has blossomed into a desire to write, as well.
Richard has been married for 58 years. He and his wife live in the heart of technical utopia, Silicon Valley.
