Three Shepherd Security cases intersect with one woman. There is no such thing as a coincidence in the world that Shepherd Security operates in. So, when this woman falls into the middle of the cases, needing protection, but refusing to offer explanations, the team goes on high alert. Dr. Evelin Rademaker, DVM, is an innocent person targeted by a dangerous group. She doesn't know that she holds the key to resolve the Shepherd Security cases. What she is sure of is that she doesn't know who she can trust, so she trusts no one...until Brody's calm smile, bright green eyes, and truthful manner puts her at ease. She is attracted to him and hopeful that he is genuine and can help her. The truth is, she has no other options. Brody 'BT' Templeton has a long history with Colonel Samuel 'Big Bear' Shepherd. He was a member of Delta Team under Shepherd's command in the Middle East. He transferred from being a door-kicking boots-on-the-ground Operator to an Operations Center Analyst after his entire unit was wiped out in an ambush. He was the lone survivor. When Shepherd started the agency, BT was recruited by him to lead in the agency's Ops Center. He's one of the older men at the agency, experienced, and mature. Shepherd trusted him with a new junior team and put him back out in the field. As Echo Team's Lead, a return to Operator was inevitable. The problem is, BT has ghosts he is not sure he's vanquished and that return to the field, just might bring every single one of those ghosts back to crush him. Warning, this story is realistic, with adult language and content on the way to the HEA. This is book 12 in the Shepherd Security Series. Even though the story does continue from book to book, each is a stand-alone story and can be read without reading the prior book(s), but they are best enjoyed in order.
