A scared little puppy is living in the woods, wishing he had a family, when he sees a young man stop on the side of the road. The puppy goes to make friends, but at first, the young man doesn't pay him any attention. When the young man notices the puppy is muddy and alone, he decides he will call him Oscar and take him home with him. When Oscar meets the man's daughters, Charlotte and Lyla, he loves them right away. Oscar believes this is the family he was meant to have so he does all kinds of things to impress the family. None of his tricks work, though, and he is afraid they don't like him. But when Charlotte falls down, Oscar is there to be her friend. She gives Oscar a big hug and tells him how much she loves him. Oscar has finally found the family he's been searching for his whole life.
