People always ask me why I say, "Stay out of Egypt." The phrase is not an attack on Egyptian people, history, culture, or society, but rather it is a reference to the biblical story found in the book of Exodus. The story talks about how the children of Israel were in hard bondage to the Egyptians for hundreds of years, and how living in such bondage affected every area of their lives. There can be many Egypts in our lives such as drugs, alcohol, sex, and money, etc. Anything that can hold us in bondage can be an Egypt. In this book, you will see how there have been many Egypts in my life and how I was able to obtain freedom from them and the process that I live by now to keep from being in bondage again. This is not a religious book, but God has definitely played a major role in my life and still does to this day. I hope that this book will simply inspire someone to know that regardless of the harmful decisions one has made in the past it doesn't have to define them for the rest of their lives. This is my story! A story of a young man growing, facing his fears, and healing every day. I have found out and decided that there is no need to return to Egypt. Whether I go or not, freedom is a better choice, but freedom is not free. It takes discipline and sacrifice to "Stay out of Egypt" yall.
