Captain Nicholas Dikes, a renowned detective of the Jadestown Police Department (JAPD) and one-time movie star, has been forced into a murderous and bloody game by the world's most merciless and calculating serial killer. Known simply as Joe, this killer's sadistic and patient nature has terrorised Jadestown, and brought the city to its knees. With the city as his arena and its inhabitants as his game pieces, Joe sets about tormenting Dikes with a series of harrowing trials. As the stakes keep growing, Dikes attempts to outmanoeuvre Joe, save the city, and protect those he loves most.
