In order for gold to be pure and shiny it must go through many tests. to find gold itself it has to be mined underground at great cost. After being mined the gold must be passed through a fire to prove its worth. The same is true of the grace given to us. This grace was obtained through so many trials that God proved it to be very effective. So He wants us to draw closer to Him to protect us.
Aloyce Mkude in this book reveals to us the important things that grace gives us after being confirmed by God as very appropriate. as it is written,
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
