They say that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. If that's true then PEP COMICS is one of the greatest comics of all time, because issue after issue presents some of the best characters of the Golden Age: The Shield, The Comet, Bentley of Scotland Yard, Sergeant Boyle, and boxer Kayo Ward . The talent in this series is amazing. Script by Manly Wade Wellman, Abner Sundell and Harry Shorten with artwork by Irv Novick, Jack Cole, Mort Meskin, Lin Streeter and Charles Biro. PEP COMICS is one of the true anthology classics. NOTE: There are images in this book that are dated and some people may find offensive. This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
