When Heather Shepherd goes on a pre-birthday outing to a skydiving range, the last thing she expects to find is a crime scene and a distraught mother. Heather is horrified, and decides to take on yet another case, whether Ryan and the good officers at the Hillside Police Department need her or not. She ignores the suggestion that she take a week off for her birthday, and sets off on another adventure, armed with her keen sense of justice, a bestie who's more squeamish than helpful and several boxes of Lavender Grape Dust Donuts. But this mystery is a true challenge: almost every suspect comes from within the victim's close family and boy, are there a lot of them. The answers are close, but threaten to slip between Heather's fingers, even as an arrest is made.
